Metabolic Strength Volume 1 Coming on Strong, Volume 2 Get Up & Go
Reviews from VideoFitness
I just did "Coming on Strong" for the first time last night, and I am SORE today lol (especially in my hamstrings and rear).
If you go by the firm classifications, I think this is technically a "S" Sculpting workout. However, word of warning, there is an intense 3+ minute HIIT type ending that she calls the "Metabolic Finisher".
I loved this workout because - you can lift really HEAVY here so you feel like you did a lot in 30 minutes. I am back at working out over a long break, so 30 minutes is where I like to stay for now. As far as weights, it appeared that Tracie used a lot of 15-20 lbs or more for dumbbells. You also need some sort of a high step for the split squats, but you could probably get away with doing them with a low chair or coffee table if you had to (don't worry, you don't need to actually step on it).
My favorite bits were the Dead Lift Rows that had some core stabilization thrown in, the Guns Show, and the Bulgarian Split Squats.
I believe the Bulgarian Split Squats are what I'm feeling today!
Overall - great workout for 30 minutes. I like her new series better than the Focus series for short workouts. Will do this one again!
Tracie as always, is a great instructor. Good cueing. Her body looks amazing.
