Altheatized: Volume II Sizzlin' Cardio Intervals
Reviews from VideoFitness
This is a 40 minute workout that alternates between cardio sections (relatively dancy, not super high impact) and some weight work.
The cardio was fun and somewhat funky. There were people showing easier and harder versions so you could pick the intensity level. I would consider this an intermediate level - good solid state cardio but not super intense. Perhaps this would be good for remaining in the "fat burning" zone.
Cardio segments interspersed with strength segments:
1) Chest/Triceps - mostly push-ups and dips (dips done on floor which I found strange and not as intense).
2) Leg section. This was an excellent leg section and would be great as an add-on to other workouts when you want to add a little extra leg-work. I think I might use this segment at my workout club before or after taking a class:
- Lunge Left- Count: 2Up 2Down x 4
- Squat- Count: 2Up 2Down x 4
- Lunge Right-Count: 2Up 2Down x 4
- Squat- Count: 2Up 2Down x 4
- Lunge Left- Count: 3Down 1Up x 4
- Squat- Count: 4Down 4Hold 4 Pulse
- Lunge Right-Count: 3Down 1Up x 4
- Squat- Count: 4Down 4Hold 4 Pulse
- Lunge Left with Rear Kick x 4
- Squat Side Lift-alternate Left/Right x 4
- Lunge Right with Rear Kick x 4
- Squat Side Lift-alternate Left/Right x 4
- Lunge Left - Lunge Kick x 8
- Squat- Count: 4Down 4Hold 4Pulse
- Lunge Right - Lunge Kick x 8
- Squat- Count: 4Down 4Hold 4Pulse
- Feet plie (inner thigh):
- Singles x 8
- 2 Up/2Down x 4
- 4 Up / 4 Down x 2
- 4 Down / Hold 4 / Pulse 4 x 2
Abs - some interesting moves in here - would be another great add-on workout at the end of something. A little too short
Cooldown / Stretch - decent.
I found the music a bit boring, but not bad.
All in all a fun workout, and may be worth its weight just for the leg and ab add-ons.
Cardio also fun for a lighter day when you aren't feeling high enough energy for something else.
Nice personality, lots of energy.
