Lucious
Reviews from VideoFitness
This was such an elaborate production, I hardly know where to begin! I will start off by saying that I am not a "bellydancer", but I like to "play" with bellydance workouts for a change of fitness pace. Bellydance workouts add a bit of a "fun factor" to my routine, but I also want them to provide some sort of cardio or toning benefit as well.
There are seven sections to Luscious and each new section builds on the previous section; they are Circles, Infinity Loops, Undulations, Hip Accents, Shimmies, Body Line, and Dance. There is further chaptering within each of these sections (for example, Circles is further chaptered into Posture, Hip Circle, I-Hip Circle, Hip Circle with Torso Drop, Pelvic Circle, and Chest Circle.) The verbal cues given help set the mood by the imagery they create: "Reach out from your heart with an offering gesture", "etc., and they deceptively include toning with the dance moves by adding fluid lunges, side stretches, etc.
As with the Love Potion and Hard Candy workouts, the stage was swathed in jewel-toned fabric, the costumes were lush, and the music was inspiring! This was a fun, low impact toning workout, and I'm definitely happy to have it in my collection!
Neon narrated the workout in a friendly, accessible manner.
