Sanden's "2-Step"

This video is somewhat different from your average. There is no warm-up or cool-down. The assumption is that you will do your own warm-up and cool-down and use the video as a learning tool for choreography. It seems to be designed more for the instructor than the lay exerciser. However, that being said, if you are able to do your own warm-up and cool-down, this is a fun workout. The format is also different. She teaches one routine with two cast members with her. At the end of the routine, there are "hints" printed on the screen about form, or method of doing a particular step. This is good because it reminds you of safety, modifications, etc. After this, she goes through the same routine again without her cast. There are four such routines, each done first with the cast, then the "hints" then her solo. At the conclusion of the four routines, she puts them all together into one large routine. This too is done without her cast. Her cuing is good, but I feel if she said "good show" or "you've got it" one more time, I was going to throw one of my steps at the TV. This gratuitous commentary on how well I'm doing is a pet peeve of mine. They can't possibly know how well I'm doing or if I've "got it". After a while, I start concentrating on how many times she says these things and not the choreography. Hey, this is just me. If you can handle it, then she's pretty good. I would not recommend this for the lay exerciser who is not capable of creating his or her own warm-up and cool-down, but if you can do that, it is an excellent introduction to doing double step.
